Inviting Applications for Post of Professor in the Department of Computer Science, NIST University, Berhampur, Odisha

Responsibilities: The candidate must have strong leadership quality and should able to handle academic, teaching, research and management duties in the department. Candidate must be able collaborate with faculties in other schools of the university on research activities/initiatives. Candidate should have worked or very familiar with different statutory bodies, rules/regulation/guidelines of University, AICTE, UGC, NBA, and State Govt. and expected to lead activities related to accreditation etc. Candidate must be a visionary with excellent communication, presentation, leadership and teaching skill using modern technologies. 

Essential Qualifications:

The qualification for the appointment of Professor at School of Compute Science is in accordance with the UGC regulations and expected to fulfill the following criteria’s:

1. An outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant disciplines, from a reputed academic institutions/universities in India or abroad. 
2. A minimum of 12 years of teaching experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, and/or research experience at equivalent level in reputed laboratory/industries.
3. In addition he/she should have research experience and published work of high quality with a minimum of 15 research publications in IEEE Transactions/Scopus /WoS indexed journals, etc. with research score as per UGC guidelines  
4. Candidate is expected to have supervised PhD/postdoc scholars with track record of receiving research grants/funding

Specialization: Specialization in any of the areas of Data Analytics, AI/ML, Computer Vision, Natural Language and Image Processing, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity is preferred.

Salary:

Based on academic qualification, experience and proven track record in research. No bar for the deserving candidates

1. The recruitment to the above posts shall be on the basis of merit through selections by the duly constituted Selection Committee.
