Job Description

The NIST University, Institute Park, Berhampur, Odisha (www.nist.edu) is inviting applications for a full-time position of Finance Officer. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all accounting and financial operations of the university
• Oversee payroll processing, student fee collection, vendor payments, and advance reconciliation
• Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for smooth financial transactions and compliance
• Work closely with the institute’s Chartered Accountant for audits, tax filings, and statutory compliance
• Ensure adherence to regulations of statutory bodies such as the Income Tax Department and other authorities
• Monitor financial records, budgeting, and reporting systems, including ERP platforms
• Provide strategic financial guidance and maintain transparency in financial practices
• Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage the Accounts, Extremal Communication/Relation & Finance team

Essential Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost Accountant qualification is preferred
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance
• Strong expertise in Accounting, Taxation, Banking, and Financial Management
• Knowledge of ERP systems and financial IT tools
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience in an academic institution or university will be preferred
